Gabriella's 3 Year Update

At 3 years old Gabriella Kate....

• Wears mostly size 3T, but she certainly needs an adjustable waist for 3T pants to fit. She did a few 4T short sleeve shirts this summer because she is so long waisted.


• Is all about princesses. Her favorite is Cinderella. She can tell you who all the Disney Princesses are even though she's only seen a few of the movies.


• Can spell some words and sound out some words. We catch her making words on the fridge or sounding out words in books on her own, but when we read with her she simply declares "I can't read." However, we have to be very carefully about spelling words around her. She figures it out all too often.


• Loves the color pink.


• Is a very empathetic child. When she throws her arms around me and says, "I wish you would feel better Mommy"... I can't help but feel better.


• Has an amazing memory.


• Spends more time in dress up clothes than real clothes on most days.


• Is an adoring big sister. She cheers Juliana on in her new skills, talks with her, strokes her hair when she is resting and tries to cheer her up when she is fussy. (All that does get a little iffy when Juliana gets ahold of her stuff.)


• Is potty trained. Thank goodness.


• Loves slides and hates swings.


• Is perpetually throwing a tea party.


• Is scared to death of dogs.
