We still have a LOT to do in the next couple days. Mostly, I'm trying not to stress about all of that and just focus on the positives of our new home and community. We're gaining a little bit more space, central air conditioning (major plus because it isn't super common out here) and a garage. We will also have a small fenced back yard.

Gabriella and Juliana check out the living room. The kitchen/dining/living room is one large open area, which we really like for keeping track of kiddos. There is a half bath upstairs and the three bedrooms and main bath are downstairs.

Oh... and Juliana started to army crawl today. Before she was just using her legs to scoot "inchworm" style, now she is using her arms to crawl with her tummy still on the floor. Guess I have to figure out how to gate that tricky stairway (iron banister on one side, closet door on the other) ASAP.

Good luck with the move, looks like you found a great new place! And I can't believe Juliana is so mobile already, she just must think she has places to go in this world :)
Your new home looks awesome! I love the shiny, hardwood floors. It looks so bright and cheery. God opened up the perfect location in proximity to Jonathan's interning at the church, his work at the Mission and your teaching position. You are going to save so much on gasoline, not to mention the driving time. And our baby Juliana---she is definitely going to be the mover and shaker in the Whisler clan. We're all going to have to keep our running shoes on with that one. :) Mom
I was thinking about you last night. You can take some cheap lace material from the store and thread it thru the railings. My mom did that at their house on the steps after K got his head stuck in them! You can use zip ties to keep them on there. And if you sip tie them lose enough you can even push the material down for when you want it to look 'mature' :P
hopw things are going well!
I'm more worried about the actual stairs. Because it has the skinny iron rail on one side and the closet door on the other (that actually overhangs the top step) you can't really install a secure stairway gate. I might have to do something like this... http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=5804&parentCategoryId=85183&categoryId=85217
my mom has the plastic ones. She used them in her sewing area. I think TRU sells them..
